910 to 510 map swap?

Hi,

I have both a 910 and a 510 (his 'n' hers).

We are going on holiday to Eurpoe and yes, we are taking both cars. In case we get split up, I want the 510 to show the Eurpoean maps.

I have bought a 2gb SD card and hoped I could just copy the GB card to the SD car, replace the GB file with the western europe file and it would all work - no such chance!!!

I know from a copyright perspective, it is not to be encouraged but for the sake of 2 weeks in Europe, can anyone help me set up the SD card for the European maps?

Nope, afraid not.
APART from the copyright issue, it is pretty much impossible to do, as each map download is specifically coded to work with one unit (original maps on an original SD card would work on any unit, but NOT a copy of that map).

....and discussion of trying to break that copyright is strongly frowned upon by the forum admin here too.

Oh well - worth a try.

I either buy the additional map or I check the lif insurance and see if it worth losing the wife in the hope she can't find her way back.
