To the forum.
When you say it's not charging from the USB, are you sure that you have connected it to a powered USB port?
It may be worth trying to plug it into a USB port on the back of your PC and trying again.
Failing that, if it came with a car charger, try plugging it into your car and just double check that it is charging. _________________ Andy

It won't charge from the USB, the voltage neederd by the device is 5V but only the later (newer) devices will charge off USB, a Go-300 won't - Mike |

Thanks, Mike
I don't have experience of the older devices.
I'm guessing that it should still charge from the car, though _________________ Andy

Yes it will charge from the car unit, if you don't have one of these you are better purchasing the correct lead than using a multi charger unit. If you get the voltage or polarity wrong you will fry the device (and it has happened before) - Mike |

You can also use a Sony PSP USB - SonyPSP lead if you wish. The Sony PSP's share the same 2-Pole plug as the GO Classic and x00's and they will charge from a USB port if you use this cable.
Having said that, the cost of a suitable mains charger is low and worth the investment. _________________ Darren Griffin |

A few mains chargers may be found here.
These are listed as being suitable for GO300 and should be suitable for your device _________________ Andy
