|
|
Hi , trying to install the map share corrections to my device, a brand new 930T, (version 8.010 . after update)
But whenever I try I get the following message after download
" Tomtom Home cannot install the map corrections to your device (954, 5)"
So far only tried a couple of resets of the 930T.
Everything else appears to be working fine.
Any ideas ? |

Only thing I can think of so far... did you select the correct storage location (Internal memory or SD card) when you started Home?
It would be "Internal memory" for an unmodified 930.
It might be worth making sure the relevant map is actually selected for use on the TT as well. |

Ahh, little details like that may seem unimportant, but can sometimes be very relevant....
Assuming you have a PC...
1. Connect the TT to the PC. Windows Explorer will recognise the TT as a new drive.
2. Close TT home and open Windows Explorer to browse the TomTom storage.
3. Browse to your named map folder (eg "Western_and_Central_Europe" etc.)
4. Look for these files if you have updated from older map:
Western_and_Central_Europe.mid",
"Western_and_Central_Europe.mms" (or the equivalent for differently named maps) OR for newer maps:
"MapServerPatch.dat"
If you find any of these, rename them to .old or something.
5. Eject the unit and let it reboot
6. Do a reset and switch on the unit.
7. Re-connect it to the PC and start up TT home
8. Make sure you select the correct storage location (internal memory or SD card) for the map you want to update AND make sure you are switched to use that map - you can use the on-screen emulator to check this. Click "update my go" and see if you now get Mapshare updates. |
