No problem, the steps are.
Download the speed camera DB from Pocket GPS onto your PC.
Download & install POI Loader.
Create a New folder called Garmin eg C:\Garmin
Now run the POI loader and when asked for the destination for the POI.gpi file enter the destination as the new Garmin folder.
So when all thats done you will have the following eg C:\Garmin\POI.gpi
Copy the Folder to a CD or DVD (I use a rewrite CD so I can just overwrite each month with a new file), Now just load it to your DNX5220BT and when prompted Select Yes.
Good Luck
If you have the GPS instruction Manual its on page 26 &27.
Just in case your not sure which DB file to download from Pocket GPS :
Its the Garmin POI Loader, then I use the UK Consolidated by Type |

Thanks for your instructions, they were clear and worked. I have installed the cameras as separate types though I cant imagine why I would turn some on/off and not others so I might reload them as 1 file - unless the point of having them sep is that you can tell from the icon what type it is |

got it in one :D
the main one being mobile sites as chances are they will not be in use as you pass - so at least you can see from the icon that it is a mobile site and not an error in the database!

|
|
One extra thing which I don't seem to be able to get - a .gpx file created which has each camera type (gatso, specs etc) also delimited by speed zone.
I can get gatso or I can get UK_70 - but not gatso_70. (if you see what I mean).
Why do I want these? Well, on the bike, all I want is Gatso and redlight cameras to give me a warning. But I would also like the voices to tell me what the speed limit should be and not the default "bong". I do not seem to be able to do this with Camera Manager as it stands.
thanks for any help

Alan you can do that if you have donated to Ash's camera manager as it then lets you download by Type and speed of camera and then uses voice warnings as well .
Damn it was wet in Coalbrookdale this morning .

Hi all, been reading through all 32 pages of this thread and it sounds a brilliant prog, but nowhere have I seen a ZUMO mentioned.
Does it work with a ZUMO can anybody tell me?? _________________ BMWr1200rt

Yes. Camera Manager just manipulates the data and prepares the files. Then you upload those with POILoader as normal (although it'll take a LOT longer and POILoader will appear to have frozen - give it time) |

Well I had problems like CM kept saying I was not logged in to PGPSW, so I sat down and searched through this thread and found STICK 170 information on page 26, followed that to the letter and it all worked, now waiting for the next release of the cameras to see if everything is OK _________________ BMWr1200rt

Hi. I like the Camera Manager utility and would like to unlock the additonal features like update now, also the Sort by Camera type and speed limit.
I have made a donation but not sure if/what happens to get the features unlocked, or maybe my donation is somewhat lacking in substance
Also, as and when I get it running, if I want to use the voice files for camera description, do I place the wav files in the POI on the device or is the POI on the SD card sufficient? When I update the speed camera POI's on the SD card, then insert the card it transfers the POI files to the device but not the wav files.
Advice appreciated
