I have a tom tom go 300 which runs on version 5.201, as i have had it while the maps have become out of date.
How would i go about updating the maps on this system, (preferably for free)

The only way to update the maps is to buy them from the TomTom website.
They have a sale until the end of July, with up to 30% off. _________________ Anita

You will also have to update your operating software via the Home program in order to use the new maps. At least THIS is free! |

Honestly, you're probably better off buying a new unit altogether. I just got a refurbed ONE 3rd Edition off Amazon for $99 with full warranty. Everything about it is better than the 300 IMO. That's about the price of a single region map. |
