some of the garmin devices can do this (make sure the mp3 is named the same as the csv/bmp files)
however, IIRC, the kenwood unit is based on a streetpilot c310(?) which doe snot have the mp3 functionality.
the latest version of poi loader (i think!) has put back in support for .wav files so you caould also try .wav's rather than .mp3?

Hi
Thank you for your reply, I have tried to add MP3 format and it didn't work it just beeps, also I have tried with WAV format, but i think with WAV format, is not compat with Garmin POI Loader, I get this error msg: Windows can't find C:\program file\Garmin\sox.exe
than popup msg comes up again unable to convert Pocketgps_uk_gatso_20/30 and so on.. |

can you make sure that you don't have multiple poi.gpi files on your device?
an 'empty' poi.gpi (i.e. 0bytes) was found to be coexisting with the normal poi.gpi file and caused the grey dot issue.

Hi
I checked it and didn't find any empty or (0byte files). I think the problem was POI loader version 2.5.2 which exactly didn't loaded WAV file even tho I have install and copy the SOX file to garmin folder.
But I did manage to make it work with POI loader version 2.4.0.0 than
again this time I am having diff problems with display, its talk (40mph speed camera head), and on display shows 25mph speed camera alert!
can you please tell me why is that, I didn't change anyfiles or anything |

Very common problem. When loading the UK database you must make sure that POILoader is set to MPH. It's default setting is KPH and if you load the database with it set to KPH you get these funny alert speeds. Just reload the database but make sure you change the setting to MPH.

Hi Asfar123, how are you uploading the sound files to your DNX8220BT? I have a DNX8220BT aswell but cannot think how you would upload the POI sounds. |

You will need Garmin Uploader to uplaods POI and sounds, than convert the sound files to Wav format! Version 2.4.0.0 Its the best one to upload sound files, it automatically convert the sounds file to wav format, bcos sound file has to be in WAV format. |
