I've seen a police car LOCATION DELETED by admin. I saw them on a Sunday afternoon around 4 Oclock with a mobile speed gun.
Can anyone else confirm this. I have also seen an officer outside the Bp garage late at night using a mobile speed gun in both directions.
It seemed to be a place where the police were congregating.
It would be a shame for this site to go unmissed, because there are only a few mobile sites in harrogate and this seems to be a prominent position for the bacon. |

You realise you have now given someone the opportunity to submit these sites in the normal way and as a result you could find yourself not being the first. Do it through the normal channels. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Please resist the urge to post locations in this manner. It does nothing to speed up reporting and if anything risks the accuracy of our data.
Posting locations in this way could lead to others submitting false 'seen again' reports and we don't want this. we have an established system that works and ensures the best possible accuracy.
Any similar posts will have location information deleted. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Sorry, diamondgeezer1, that was my fault.
I suggested there was no harm in posting the co-ords (well, just this once!), but now I realise the problem with doing that... |

Not sure if this is the right place to ask.....
I was driving along a motorway and came across one of the areas marked "Police patrol vehicles only". Plonked on top of it was a Volvo Estate, sitting at right angles to the road, with the drivers window open.
I have seen similar Volvos with what appears to be a camera mounted on the rear offside roof, maybe 999tommo could confirm?
The question is: have I seen a speed trap, or simply a couple of officers on tea break? _________________ TT Go 720 (T)

The ramps you mention are not solely there for speed checks so unless you saw one operating with a camera then we would rather they weren't reported. Indeed personally I wold rather we didn't have these in at all regardless.
As for the rear mounted roof camera, most likely an ANPR system. _________________ Darren Griffin |
