could someone please let me know if i get a tomtom one w europe v3 (with internal memory only) or a v4 w europe (not sure if its got internal memory or sd card), will there be enough space to install extras like the camera database from this site, and how do you remove tomtom's own version of it?
many thanks. |

I guess you mean the "One 3rd edition" or the "One Europe 22 (new)"? (the "V" numbers are not what you think...)
3rd Edition:
Europe 22:
Neither of these models have an SD card slot, so you may have difficulties updating maps in the future.
However, the PGPSW speed cam database is tiny compared to the space taken up by the maps and software, so you should have no trouble fitting it on.
To disable the TomTom-supplied ones you can just disable them in the "Plus services" menu.
To delete them completely, you can remove them using the "Home" utility or just delete all the files called "Safety Cam UK TomTom..." from inside the map folder using Windows Explorer. |

many thanks for your reply andy.
it just seems to make more sense to buy a new unit with up to date maps and a new guarantee, then sell my old unit for about £70 on fleaBay?? |

Depends what your old unit is...
The new One and XL are really pared to the bone, no SD slot as we said, but also no bluetooth of any kind, a pared down menu (no itineraries and no way to reactivate them IIRC), and a new mount you'll either love or hate. |
