Hey all, I have just installed my first set of databases on my TomTom 520, I have opted for the "Speed Zoned Complete" with the Speed Zoned voice/alert. Now when it comes to updating down the line, can I just drag and drop the new updated *.ov2 and overwrite the old ones and assume that everything is updated, or do I have to do the whole set distance, chose sound e.t.c. thing again??

I hope that makes sense??

Thanks in advance!!

When you update the database just copy the new files from the download to your map folder, there is no need to change or reset any warnings on the device, it will simply pick up the new files and use them with the existing settings - the only thing you need to do is make sure you download and install the same dataset as you had before - Mike

Thats the answer I was after! Thanks! Makes the thing a whole process a lot simpler! Used to have a Navman F20, and that was a pain to update!

Anyways thanks for the quick response!

beware of operating your device within tomtom home as this can or used to reset sound warnings off, i don't know if this bug has been resolved but one to be aware of all the same
