tomtom one wont start

Hi, my tomtom one will only start if I remove the SD card , I update the software regulary but I still have this problem.
Version 7.162

Try a pin reset with the card in the unit. Remove the card and do another pin reset. Reinsert the card again and power on. See if that helps.

Is this a TomTom one with both internal memory AND an SD card?

If so, the TT will only use one or the other.
If there is a usable version of software on the card it will boot form that first.
If there is no version of software on the card it will look on the internal memory and boot from there if it finds one.

So I suppose if there is a corrupt or incomplete version on the card it will fail to boot.

If this seems likely, please examine the contents of the card with explorer and tell us the names of all the files NOT in any folders.
