|
|
I just bought my new TomTom Go 520 last week and I am having a problem turning it off.
I hold down the power button for 2 secs as advised in the manual and it displays the little screen shot showing a hand placing the unit into a briefcase and then turns itself off. However, after 10secs or so the unit automatically turns itself back on again for now reason at all.
It's getting frustrating now as when I leave the car and turn it off on my return find the battery is empty as it has turned itself on again whilst I've been away.
Frustrating!! Anyone know a solution or is it a faulty unit? |

Have you tried pressing the reset button on the underside of the device? - you won't loose any data doing this but you might find it cures the fault - Mike |

I brought it in out the car and tried turning it on and off etc. Tis time it managed to stayoff when told
Yet I know tomorrow when I drive to work I'll turn it off and it'll reuse to stay off!!!
Arrrggghhhhhhhh!!! |

I had this problem and discovered it would switch back on if I'd been using blue tooth hands free.
Turning off blue tooth on my mobile before switching off my TomTom would stop it restarting again. |
