Hi,
Im pretty new to this so heres my question, I have just upgraded from a tomtom 500 to a tomtom 720.
Are the camera warnings on the 720 as comprehensive as the ones I purchased for my tomtom 500 from pocket gps world.
So my question is am I better to transfer the pocket gps world speed warnings to my 720 and if so will they be compatiable ?
any replys would be very grateful

The Speed Camera Database works in just the same way for all TomTom devices, simply copy the files to the map folder and configure the warnings - job done.
You might want to remove the TomTom Canera Database though to avoid double warnings where it does locate a camera, this is covered on the FAQ page in the TomTom One, Go, Rider forum section - Mike |

The site is subscription based for the Speed Camera database and it is advisable to keep it upto date, you can also benefit from the spoken alerts which will make the device tell you the type of speed camera and its rated speed as you approach it, also there are aditional larger icons for the warning to flash up in the top left corner with far greater clarity than before - Mike |

Hi Mike,
Thanks for all the information, when I did purchase the pocket gps it did have the voices but when I log in I do not see anywhere to upgrade them or do I have to purchase again ?
Also what files do I need to delete on the 720 before I put the pocket gps world ones on and im guessing just put them in with the poi files.
Many Thanks for all your help Roisin |

Hi.
When you got the speed camera data before, you didn't actually "purchase" them, you got them as part of a subscription package (either for a month or a year). If your subscription has now expired, you'll need to re-subscribe before you can download the database again.
Unfortunately, PGPSW have stopped the monthly subscription due to the number of people who were using it to grab the data and spread it all over the web, so it's the one-year option only now.
You don't need to delete any files before you add the PGPSW ones. Assuming you are talking about TomTom's OWN camera data, you can run them side by side with the PGPSW one, or you can disable them in the "Plus Services" menu, or if you really want, you can delete them. Instructions are in the FAQs topic - a "sticky" topic in the index of the TomTom section of the forum.
