I have had an Origin B2 for three years or so and have said good things about it in these forums.
I just got a new laptop and need to migrate my Origin software to it, and it seems that my original CDROM is corrupted as it won't run properly. Me and my unit are registered on the Origin Web site, and there is a facility there called 'Ask Pogo' to send them an email. I have sent them two communications spread over about three weeks asking if they can supply a replacement CDROM or point me to a download link and I've never received a reply.
I obviously will not renew my subscription if I can't resolve this so I can't see what the advantage is to them to leave customers without the necessary update software.
Does anyone know of a way of obtaining the Origin update software? |

I am coming to the conclusion that Pogo/Origin customer support is dreadful. They have never yet replied to any email I have sent them. The other method to contact them is to use the high-toll 0870 number, which I'm reluctant to do.
My Origin b2 has devloped a fault, and today I am sending them for the third time an email describing the problem and asking them for a way forward (repair, refurbish, exchange, etc). If I don't get a reply to today's email I shall print it and send it to the managing director. I am one of their customers, paying £50 pa for an update subscription. I am deeply resentful that they have adopted an 0870 number so that I have to spend £6/hr to tell them that their box of tricks has gone belly-up.
On a previous occasion I bought a Pogo Drive and decided to send it back. Again they never replied to my emails and I had to phone to arrange the return, and then they refunded me the purchase cost.
I think the origin is pretty-well the most expensive camera warning device on the market, but their customer support doesn't reflect this.
