Ah yes, I fear 36 separate images taken at different angles around the car may put off most if not all people from trying! _________________ Darren Griffin |

A generic red car based upon a *ahem* Ford Focus Saloon would rock. Garmin have produced a red car but everyone I've shown it to has said something along the lines of "Hey, your car is going backwards". It really does look as though it's facing the wrong way!
Guess who has a red Focus saloon? |

Don't get too carried away, the srf2png conversion tool from http://techmods.net/nuvi/ doesn't work on the newer .srf files and I wouldn't be surprised if the png2srf tool was similarly broke.
It looks like Garmin changed the alpha mask and perspective formats at some stage
I don't understand why they have bothered with such a complex cursor when most of the time all you see is the rear end anyway! I wonder if a file made of 36 images all of the rear would work as well? _________________ Darren Griffin |

or just copy a 'normal' srf file, add a single image over t rear-view one and leave the rest as is!
occassionally though, the car will turn a little bit on screen when going round a corner - not often though!

Drifting OT so I'll move these posts discussing cursors. The big stumbling block here is rhe srf2png which is broke. _________________ Darren Griffin |
