But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

To return on topic, Del346 has PM-ed me and I have replied as follows ...

When my satnav flashes and give me a Cam warning that is a speed camera, which, by the way was not on my satnav a few weeks ago. I drive that road 6 times a day, so I don't use my satnav usually as I no where I am going. I Used the my sat nav's co-ordinates to submit every time. You say be polite, I say why, after all I did submit them to often to be wrong. As for the free membership, who gives a fig, its the principle that counts, not in anyway the money/free membership. The speed camera is a mobil one in a van and there are camera warning signs posted

I have no idea what was causing your satnav to flash and give you a warning - I simply repeat what I said previously ...

there is NO CAMERA ON WEST VIEW ROAD, HARTLEPOOL in the Pocketgpsworld database
If you look at the map below, you can see there's nothing on West View Road. And I have to deny saying be polite - that wasn't me it was two other members who have been awarded free lifetime membership.
I assume you did not read any of the information linked/suggested by PaulB2005 four hours before you sent this message to me. That's a shame and in your case, makes it a bit of a wasted effort on our part.
In order to get correct coordinates, we recommend you use the submission map shown above. In the centre, if you look closely (just under Skerne Road), you will see a tiny crosshair. Drag the map left and down and the crosshairs will get closer to West View Road. Zoom in as close as it will go, then drag the map around again until you get the crosshairs exactly where you saw the van, then click on "Update Coordinates", then fill in the rest of the details, including a sensible description of the place where the van is located, and submit the camera.
Now I strongly recommend you do go read all the stuff Paul referred you to.
Well done Tony. For, I think £19 a year, sould I care for free membership, its the principle and only the principle that concerns me, and for rubbing it in, tad childish to say the least. If you read my profile you should see that I am a garage owner, with breakdown recovery and I don't employ children to driving for me, so how did you get a job driving.
If its the principle then you could have asked nicer and i got a job by applying for it and have been doing well at that for over 25 years think i am out of the children bracket now though

Not fair, I didn't get one...
But I'd love to know WHAT he must be a) using, and b) submitting. Hopefully he'll come back with a reply to Dennis's
That's cos' you're a Southerner Softypants - he recognises the Aaaaaaaard Northerner in me.
He's using a NUVI 300 with the warning distance set to 27 miles, so he's getting warned by pMobile:46531 and he unfortunately forgot to put a minus in front of the Westing/Easting for his submissions, placing his camera van some distance on the route to Esbjerg.
Next time you're near Hartlepool and have a breakdown, give your location by street name, not coordinates.

apologies to Del346 is this all seems rather flippant BUT we have to do it like this otherwise we would jut go insane from the number of people claiming we have ripped them off etc etc.
We verify all submissions and you will be notified yours qualifies - for more information regarding verification, please see this report by DennisN. If you are successful we'll let you know (there is no need to send us an email to check) and automatically extend your current membership.
we don't normally respond to posts like this as it wastes too much time but i felt it needed addressing due to the aggressiveness of your initial post.
