|
|
Hi PGPSW Moderators,
I have been trying to install the latest camera database, but when it comes to instructions, I fail miserably.
I've been trying to follow Mike Alder's instructions but I am getting stuck after downloading and extracting all the files.
I am using Vista and cannot figure out what to do next.
Yes I am thick, I have been told that many times before, but any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance. |

Thanks Mike,
Once I have downloaded the database and extracted the full files, I am struggling to know what to do next.
When I connect my TT it starts the TomTom Home programme and from there I get lost.
Sorry Mike. |

Home confuses all of us, I would switch it off and follow the instructions using Windows Explorer which in Vista is accessed by clicking Start/ Computer you will find the TomTom device shows up as a specific drive letter complete with the red hands icon. Double Click this and locate the Map folder, put the POI files into it and job done - Mike

Exit from HOME as it is not needed for the job in hand.
You don't say which Device you have, other than a TT.
Have a look at #4 on the FAQs Page.
Choose the first one if your Device doesn't have Text To Speech capabilities.
The second link carries extra instructions for the Text To Speech. _________________ Richard
