Tom Tom connection cables

Sorry if this is a repeated question but..........

I have the wireless version of TTN3 connecting via BT to an XDA II. I am looking at getting the connection cable kit as I have a good cradle etc and dont need the full car kit.

Does the connection cable kit power the wireless reciever as well as the PDA as I cant a reference to what it does anywhere.

The cable that came with the car kit for my ipaq does power the BT GPS receiver. Not sure about the specific cable you are referring to.

There is a specific Cable Connection kit for a number of PDA's supplied by Tom Tom. In the kit there is a lighter socket thingy which plugs into the pda. Half way up the lead there is a socket that takes an RJ45 connection. This I assume, matches with the lead supplied in the Tom Tom box that I bought. Now, does this RJ45 lead that runs into the receiver charge the reciever, or is it for something else?

Unless I'm mistaken, it's actually RJ12 (6 pins, 6 wired) rather than RJ45 (8 pins, 8 wired).

The connector is there for the TomTom wired GPS - there is 5V available from that connector, but I'm not sure whether there's sufficient current to power and charge the TomTom Bluetooth GPS, or, indeed, where you'd get a cable to connect the TomTom Bluetooth GPS.

Thanks for your help. I have had a look at the cable supplied in the box. It is a six pin RJ8 with a connector at the other end that fits the receiver power in socket.

I have ordered the connection kit from GPS. If it doesnt work i'll send it back :P

If you've got the cable you describe, the TomTom PDA specific cables should work just fine. I haven't personally seen any TomTom Bluetooth hardware, so I wasn't aware exactly what cables they shipped.
