|

Hi all
Still getting me head around all the ins and outs of the 720 and I saw in a recent post that there are supposed to be traffic delays posted alongside the icon on the traffic bar. My traffic bar shows hold ups and roadworks etc and how far ahead they are on my route, but it doesn't ever show how big a delay there is.
I'm using a TT720 with software version 7.481. I have the latest map that I just downloaded using TT's Latest Map Guaruntee a couple of weeks ago. My RDS TMC modul has .013 as the last three digits of it's model number.
I've searched through the manual and settings and so on but I can't find anywhere that allows this delay time feature to be set on or off.
Advice gratefully received.
Thanks in advance. |

The reason you are not seeing the delay information is due to the fact your using Navcore 7, any release of this version 7 code never worked in the UK for traffic delays via RDS. You can update the device to version 8 (if you can find it on the internet as TT have withdrawn it), this fixes the RDS-TMC delay problems - Don't spend anymore time looking for something to turn off, there is nothing there, update or wait for vs8 software to be re-released - Mike |

I read with sort of glee the post above. I was one of the lucky ones to get the update thingy last week from TT before it was pulled. I stopped using the traffic bit of my 920 when i worked out it was crap (about one shift)
Am i right in now thinking that it might just work a bit better now i have this version 8 thing or am I miss-reading the previous?.
Thank you |

You are reading my previous post correctly, plug the little black egg into the 920 and see what happens, you will get colour delays indicated if you browse the traffic map which denote car speed, delay information will also be available.
One very neat touch is when you encounter traffic on route the ASR kicks in asking you if you want to re-route to avoid it, answer by shouting Yes/ No - Mike |
