Looking on ebayer, the navigo sat nav is only £60 and really tempted to buy one due to the ability to use other mapping software but wonder if they are actually decent? i know £60 is not much compared to others but as they are hardly mentioned on this forum (going by search results) wondered if they are worth the risk?

Unless you plan to junk the installed software I wouldn't build up your hopes. It's pretty poor.

Often the images used in the sales listings of the software are not that which is supplied.

Comet have a Satnav running iGO which would be a better bet at £59.99, see here and Argos have a Nuvi 300 for £99 here.

After looking around the net, a lot of people absolutely hate the installed software "turbodog" but after being able to put on other map software they highly sing the satnavs praises. Plus all the other stuff you can do to it makes it a tempting satnav to purchase.

It's a WinCE unit with GPS, nowt unusual there. But after you add the cost of the other 'software' there are far better options. Jack of all trades and master of none!
