Hi... After the last camera update, I get a warning now for a camera that dont exist? it shows a camera at the end of a dual carriageway, not even the police would put a camera 30 foot from a roundabout that would be no revenue at all !! |

What's the ID of the camera? Mobile or fixed? _________________ Anita

Good question, it shows a yellow camera icon, to be honest, my navman camera data base, has never shown me mobile speed cams, there is a usual mobile spped camera near me, and it has never shown that one or any other mobile cams on the screen. |

If you can find it on the map on the Speed Camera page and click on the camera icon the camera ID will appear to the bottom left of the map. _________________ Anita

Actually, if it shows a yellow camera icon it sounds as if it's a specs camera, and therefore quite likely to be towards the end of a dual carriageway, measuring your average speed along a length of the road. The ID would confirm it. _________________ Anita

Sorry, ignore everything I said! I've just realised you're talking about the Navman built-in cameras, not the PGPSW ones.
You might like to have a read of this thread to see why you really should be using the cameras from this site. It would also prevent future confusion with camera colours! _________________ Anita

I once got 30 mph camera alert on M25
A quick glance on map revealed that there was a country road [bridge] cross ing over the motorway and I got alert for that camera.
Don't miss the fundamental point. Sat Navs are to guide you - not to dictate you. Whether or not they say there is a camera, don't just trust.
Just trust your senses. |
