But are these cameras actually missing? There is a mobile site near my office. But after last months update it disappeared. That is I no longer get warnings but the van is still there. Why do known sites just disappear? It's ok where I live, I know the sites but it's not a lot of use to visitors to the area or to me when I go further afield. |

Have you reported the mobile cameras as 'seen again' via our report system?
What is the location so I can check the status. We're good but we don't have the power to read minds _________________ Darren Griffin |

"01342" As you're probably aware, the Mobile sites cause many more headaches than fixed sites, both in verifying them so that they can be added and removing them if the site is no longer used.
If EVERY site where a mobile camera had EVER been was kept in the database for ever, the system would soon clog up completely.
That's why it is so important for subscribers to report it every time they see a mobile site actually working.
If this site was removed because (for example) there had been NO reported sighteings for more than a year AND there was a submission saying "I go past this site every day morning and evening and have never seen a camera here" then, on the balance of evidence, it is likely it will be removed.
If you re-submit it and it subsequently gets re-verified, then that's free life membership for you! |

Please read both parts of this thread
All cameras are subjected to verification which takes time and the Lifetime Membership is awarded just after the next database release. You'll receive an email if successful. |

Well I tried to send a notification that this particular mobile is still active but it kept asking for it's ID. I have no idea, should I ask the driver next time I see him? So I just sent it in again as a new site. Even though it isn't. |

If you locate the existing camera on the submission map and click it's icon you will see it's ID at bottom right of the map i.e. MOBILE:39621. This is the camera ID.

Now I'm proper confused. Surely that's the problem, the camera is no longer there. Otherwise I wouldn't be concerned that I no longer get alerts. |

If it disappeared recently, it will still be on the map as a deleted camera, so you should still be able to find the camera id. |

pMobile:38506 was removed on 2nd May as it had not had any further sightings in the previous 6 months.
If it has been seen again then please do submit it every time it is seen - same goes for every mobile site.
