Except for a patch on the download page.
Which other model is in more similar to, the S70 or the S90?

According to Navman the S80 is built for the Australian market. As it lacks a camera it would be closer to the S70. _________________ Darren Griffin |

S80 lacks S90i's camera and TMC on-board.
S70 and S90i have 2 GB internal flash, S80 has 512 MB.
S80 and S90i have TTS, S70 doesn't. |

Oi, hyper links
The most likely explanation is Mio are off loading stock in whatever way they can in advance of the Mio hardware replacements. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Just out of interest does the S80 use TeleAtlas or NavTeq maps? You might think the former but the other rarely-seen oddity in the range, the S60, apparently uses NavTeq.

S60 is not part of S-Series range. It's a software + Bluetooth GPS receiver combo for mobile phones with Symbian 60 (hence the name). It was released along with N-Series, I think. |

Yes the S80 is a TMC-enabled unit somewhere between the S70 and S90 feature-set wise. Probably exclusive to Halfords - lots of the big stores try to get exclusive model nos. because you cannot get them on their offers and price match then
Navman - Mio do indeed have new units being release - the Moov series from Mio now, the s50 3D and s30 3D in June from Navman, and some more higher end 3d Units in September |
