|
|
Hi all.
I've just downloaded a number of the POIs from the fantastic list here at pocketgpsworld. The problem is that I can only see a few of the ones I've downloaded. I had some on my system already, and have just added quite a few more, but if I go to the Manage POIs part, I can only see 82 of the more than 230 that I've got. They're all the same file type, and should all be UK, so am I missing something?
Any help gratefully received!
Thanks!

I think there is a limit to the number of POI groups you can load and as a result you can only see a few. Try deleting one you CAN see and i'll bet one you CAN'T see will appear. |

Thanks Paul,
That looks like it'll work. To that end, I thought I'd use the combine facility on the download page, but I still just get the same number of separate files. For example, I thought I might as well just have one ATM file, but it doesn't seem to want to do that. Am I missing something here too?

Scrub that! For whatever reason it now works.
Think that one should go down as User Error... |

Would this be TomTom Navigator 5 that you are using? - if so please be aware that you can only have a maximum of 39 custom POI files within the map folder. This is 39 individual files ending with a file extension of .ov2 exceed this quantity and the software will pick which POI files it wants you to see, with rather unpredictable results.
You are moving in the right direction though by consolidating the POI files, ATM's and Fuel are two very good candidates to reduce individual files - Mike |
