I use distance to end as one of my data box settings but it never gives me an accurate reading. I'm assuming that it should minus the distance travelled from the total route length? Or does distance to end mean, to the next waypoint?

Cheers

There is a separate option for distance to next way point.

Although I haven't checked it yet I expect it is a straight line measure between where you are and the last way point. How far you have travelled or have yet to travel on your planned walk/ride will have nothing to do with it.....unless your walk was a dead straight line from start to finish in which case it's a perfect method.

This is correct rob- it is a straight line distance from your current location to the last waypoint on the route!

SC - you will prob be better to use the option "Route Done" - This will return as a percentage of the route completed. A quick guesstimation (based on your total route length) will give you a rough distance to end.

I have spoken to Richard on this feature, and a few other anomolies, (particularly where distance, current location and cursor location, are concerned) and have learnt that they all have military connotations. Great for our Armed Forces Very Happy but not so hot for the average walker/MTB'r Sad
