Does anybody know of any problems if I buy the 930T in the USA and use it in the UK where I live? |

1: It will not contain the UK & Europe ASR Files (Voice Recognition), and TomTom will not supply them. So you will have so source copies elsewhere
2: You may have problems getting the Free Map upgrade of the Europe map as it was purchased outsidre the region.
3: You may have warranty problems with TT EU who will refer you back to the US if you need service.
But apart from that you will get it at a good chunk of change cheaper than the EU Version
(Oh and don't buy the "T" Version the US Traffic antenna is useless in Europe) _________________ Current Device (Changes almost weekly)Navcore V8.002

Each map is now approx 1.9 gigs, wheras WE map previous was 1.5. The extra 400+ megs is the ASR files. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

Depends if anyone with an imported unit can get them from them
I ended up at impass with them.
The FINAL Replies I got from them were
1: ASR is only supported in the region where you buy the unit, and we will not supply the other files
2: Map Upgrade, beacuse I purchased outside the UK (Pixmania) they classed it as a grey import and even though I jumped though all the hoops, (Supply of receipt, Copy of Unit Serial Number, Screengrab of current map version), they still refused to honour map upgrade, and the only options they offered were
a) return the unit to place of purchase and get a proper UK one (no good as outside Pixmania return window)
b) escalte the matter in writing with head offioce in Amsterdam
So TT (Un)support, is losing all my future business, I sold off my unit.
We currently have 2 TT units still in service but as soon as replacement time comes up we will be totally TT Free. _________________ Current Device (Changes almost weekly)Navcore V8.002
