Regarding the camera that Dennis was looking for I had to go to Newtown yesterday so I went via Builth and Llandrindod Wells and I did not see any cameras at all and it was not until I got to the other side of Llandridod did I see a camera sign. That is not to say that there is not one tho |

are those definately redlight enforcement cameras? they look like ctv / traffic monitoring to me but then i've never been to america so cannot comment...!

MaFt - sorry for the late reply - (been away collecting more North American cameras.) There are currently three types of traffic light/red light photo enforcement cameras used in Texas (from the previous example I cited.) And as mentioned, the predominate model of traffic light / red light camera does resemble a version of a UK CCTV camera without the weather resistant housing. Here is another example cited on one local news site: http://tinyurl.com/4lh4rn .
Again, I would be willing to provide photos of the various types of North American cameras I have encountered which could be added (perhaps on a delineated section to save confusion?) to the speed camera identification page. Presumably this will become more of an issue as more cameras from the Americas are submitted. |
