I am in the UK only for about 6 weeks a year (2 weeks at a time) but driving on a UK licence. Can you offer a short term membership for people like myself who have used the database in the past but the yearly m/ship seems a bit steep. I appreciate that people like myself are in a very small minority and it probably isn't worth your while finding a solution but there is no harm in asking. |

Sadly we had to drop the monthly option owing to piracy. we're painfully aware that the selfish actions of a few have resulted in occasional users such as yourself being disenfranchised.
A subscription gives you access to the 40+ countries we hold data for though, where do you live? Don't forget also that a camera report may also qualify you for lifetime subscription. For UK cameras that requires you be a subscriber to qualify but for cameras in all the other countries we cover you do not need a subscription to be eligible. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks you for the reply. I have an old Road Angel. Following my posting here I found out that they offer a £3.99 a month direct debit subscription which I will probably sign-up to for a month. Rather have the pocketgps version though. Thanks. |

I'd check they don't have a minimum subscription term beforehand. You didn't say which country you are normally based in? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Not yet but they are planning or are in the process of installing cameras at traffic lights. They have just introduced a ban on mobile phone use when driving so we are heading in the same direction. I am sure we will soon see speed cameras. |

A bit galling on a site that promotes a speed camera database to have an advert for anpr cameras and other surveillance equipment appears at the end of this thread.? |

Why? Whilst we only have a modicum of control over which ads Google choose to display on our site, we have no issue at all with ANPR.
We're not here to assist law breaking nor do we encourage speeding. ANPR is a law enforcement aid and one that we 100% support. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The ANPR was only the 'come on' text. When you go to the site, it has all the types of cameras that you take such great pains to log in the database.
