|

Hi All,
Got my Aldi special and so far so good. Build quality as everybody else has said seems excellent and the SatNav works like a dream (just back from 150 miles around the Kent and Sussex countryside).
Now.... I am off to Spain the week after next. However, from what I can see of the bundled software it can only just about cope with main towns and main roads in Europe.
So, what options are open to me? I can see that Tomtom have Western European software available for GB 100.00 ish, but do I need to also buy something else to make this work?
What about other software houses?
Thanks

The TomTom "Maps of Western Europe" package also requires a full version of Navigator - Navigator 2 for the Navigator 2 Maps of Western Europe, and Navigator 3 for the Navigator 3 Maps of Western Europe. It's useless without that.
I'm afraid I don't know about extra maps from Navigon / Medion.

Are there anyother `whole of Europe` packages?
I have looked at the Medion website and the `bolt on` maps seem to be sold country by country and are something like GB 70.00 each!

Hi,
Could you update your user profile to reflect you location? it helps when trying to give answers/feedback to your posts.
You may be better speaking to Navigon support who may be able to offer assistance. http://www.navigon.de/
However, if the Medion has the German version of the operating system on it then I believe you will be stuck with this as any updates/upgrades to the OS can only be obtained in the base language that it was purchased in.
Hopefully I may be wrong, perhaps someone could clarify this as I don't wish to give incorrect information. |
