wall charger TT920 + shd i take it to Berlin?

hi - i've just bought a wall charger for my TT920t cos i want to use it for WALKING round Berlin this w/e.

1. stupid question but i'm afraid i still need to know the answer - should i have the unit switched on or off during charging - or doesn't this make much difference?

2. do you think th TT920 would be useful for getting around Berlin ON FOOT or should i just stick with a traditional paper map and guide?

3. How long wil the battery last used this way?

1. It will charge much slower if the Go is on. The screen takes a lot of energy.

2. I've never had much luck using my Go's while walking. You don't move quick enough to give it an idea of which direction you're going, so it gets confused easily. Having said that, it's still very handy to have even just as an electronic "A-Z".

3. Battery life I reckon not much more then 3 Hours.
Make sure you switch off Bluetooth and the FM transmitter as these are big battery drainers too. Also turning down the brightness and the volume will help a bit.
