|
|
Hi
Have just downloaded the speed cams from here, after paying the fee, so now have them on my Garmin 760's SD card.
How can I remove all the Cyclops camera data from the main unit ?.
Can I stop the annoying beeping you get when a camera is detected but I am driving over the speed limit, like doing 34mph in a 30 zone & please don't tell me just to slow down .
Thanks in advance. |

Either use a silent mp3 to replace the built in alert or use Ash10s Camera Manager to add the ACPO (10% + 2mph) limit to the database.
To use the silent mp3 you need a silent mp3 (i.e. one with no noise) and then make a copy with the same name as each file in your database.
i.e. if you have
Gasto.csv and Gatso.bmp you need to add Gatso.mp3 and repeat for all the other files, then upload the lot with POILoader. |

So will this just take the sound alert off only when I am over speed limt ?.
I do want a sound alert just to say the camera is comming up it's just the sound when I'm over limt, it just keeps sounding until I reduce speed. |

If you use Ash10s Camera Manager you can change the alerts for Approach and Overspeed. Just set Overspeed to 0 and you should only get the approach alert. |

OK now have the ash 10's camera manager up & running but only have UK cams.
How do you get it to download both UK & French cams ?.
Nice bit of software isn't it. |

That's a shame but then again I am only going over to france for a few days so will just load the normal french cams when I go.
I have followed your instructions & put 0 in the overspeed bit so will test tomorrow.
Thanks for the help & for pointing me to that brilliant software. |
