|
|
After using my RDS aerial for about 3 days on my ONE XL, it appears to have stopped working, normally when you plug it in you get the information that it has been connected etc.
Now on the right hand side i get the round circle thing at the top of the screen permamently (with it plugged in or not), but it does nothing, and none of the options for the RDS thing work.
I have noticed in the plug at the bottom, there appear to be three 'prongs' which extend further than the main socket, well I assume all three SHOULD, but one is at the level of the socket, could this be the problem? |

Have you tried a reset of the device? - depress the reset button for 30 seconds then power it back up, you won't loose any settings doing this by the way - Mike |

If its a One XL regional you could take the card out with the device switched off which forces a reset, if its the Euro version you need 30 seconds to clear down the memory to force the reset (no card to remove as its all on the internal flash memory) - Mike |

My Housemate has an identical tomtom, and just looked at the RDS TMC socket,a nd something appears to be missing, as his has a round black plastic part covering the socket, whereas in mine you can see the gold connectors! Looks like a warranty job |

Sounds as though it is one of the TT ONEs that doesnt support TMC - only certain models do. The XL does, dont know about the rest of the range. |

Unless it's just a dust cover?
I'm not really understanding your description of the "three prongs". Any chance of a photo and another description, so we can compare what ours looks like? |

i'm suffering the same socket related problem here i think?
i'm not getting 'the message' displayed on the screen when tmcrds is 'plugged in'!
i think something is missing, but can't be sure, i never took that much notice of the base before, but there looks to be a little too much 'connectorage' on display for my liking?! :(
here is the socket... it#s NOT RIGHT is it?
here is the plug...
what does a good one look like?
do these look as they should or is it warranty time?
i hope someone can assist?
TIA,
GaRy:)
