The Message On the Mapshare Guarantee page has now changed
for 930 owners It now reads
THERE IS A NEWER MAP AVAILABLE
Unfortunatly you are not eligible for a free map update, Either the 30 Days period has expired for your device or your device was not sold with a Latest Map Guarantee
You can however buy the latest maps if you click etc etc etc
Well of course the 30 days has expired they have been messing around for over 2 weeks - and we still have the no guarantee getout _________________ Current Device (Changes almost weekly)Navcore V8.002

After working perfectly for the first few days, my 730 is acting a bit strangely. Yesterday it crashed twice just as I selected a favorite to navigate to, tonight it flashed up an error something like "error writing map data - media error", and yesterday and today, about 30 seconds after switching it off, it switched itself back on (but only once and twice).
Is it time to restore from backup? _________________ Tomtom Go 1005

Try pressing the reset button for 30 seconds before you go for a full format and re-install as this takes quite some time, I have had the 930 switch back on for no reason on a few occasions as have users of the earlier 920.
The advice seemed to be use the Route Clear button before switching off, whether this helps you or not I am not too sure - Mike |

Does a long press on the reset button do something more than a short press??
I have (despite the advice given earlier in this thread) now been able to download the 8.05 LMG map update for WCE. The server seems to be very heavily loaded, as the download seemed to stall for several seconds every few seconds. _________________ Tomtom Go 1005
