|
|
had a look on the tomtom site for any size restriction on sd cards in the x30 (specifically the 730t model), but can't find anything
Basically I want to load it up with mp3's and go as large as possible without problems.
Anyone tried an 8gb or even 16gb card?
thanks

I use an 8GB SDHC card manufactured by Peak, speed class 6 in my 930 without too much trouble, you do need to use a card reader to install files to cards larger than 4GB as the TomTom can only read the larger cards it will not write to them correctly. There have also been reports of 16GB cards working the same way - Mike |

Don't forget to order an SDHC compliant card reader at the same time though otherwise you will be able to do nothing with the new card, also when you get it format the card using Windows Explorer otherwise you will only see the first 4GB of it - Mike |

I have a card reader on my hp laptop - I use it to write to an 8gb micro sd card that I have in my fone- this works fine so does this mke the reader SHDC compatible?
The micro sd is sdhc I think. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------

You will be fine using the existing kit you have then, if a card is 8GB it has to be SDHC - Mike |
