|
|
i received an email from tomtom advising that there were safety camera updates available for me .
i attached tomtom to pc ... system told me there was a tomtom home update 2.3 which i downloaded successfully.
i then ran updates .. it showed safety camera 1 to 10 .. it went through the 10 fairly quickly but at no 10... uk i think .. when it finished .. my computer crashed ... giving me a "bsod", that is "blue screen of death" .. white writing on blue background . advising of a serious problem .
It shows .......
"STOP.... oxoooooo23 (ox000E100 oxA8BCC3BC oxA8BCCoB8 ox8052BEC2 )
i've done this 5 times now and 5 times it's crashed ......
any ideas or advice ? |

Hello glun.
somehow your system is disconnecting your device or just doesn't like the connection.. have you applied all updates to XP...
Microsoft TechNet & Kadaitcha ... SYMPTOMS
A computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP may stop responding when you suddenly remove a storage device. For example, the computer may stop responding if you suddenly remove a Secure Digital card from a USB card reader. When this problem occurs, you receive a Stop error message that resembles the following:
STOP 0x00000023 FAT_FILE_SYSTEM (Parameter1, Parameter2, Parameter3, Parameter4)

Disable or unistall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated drivers. Run CHKDSK to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer. |

Yeah, there's been no major changes in the various v2 versions AFAIK, just small bug fixes I think. |
