I'm curious as to the source of information about the 1940 - or are you extrapolating from the failure of HP to produce a Pocket PC 2003 upgrade for the 1910?

David,
Rumour Control has it that HP will not provide an upgrade path to WM2003 SE for the 19xx series.
Of course, since they haven't yet said they will provide such an upgrade opportunity for the 22xx and 55xx series either, it doesn't really mean much. _________________ Tim

I wasn't inferring anything as a spokesperson for HP has made comment

A spokesperson at HP has informed iPAQabilities that HP will be releasing a ROM update for current iPAQ Pocket PC's from the H2200 series and up (H2200, H4100, H4300, H5100, and H5500 series). There is still no timeline given as to when we can expect the ROM updates to become available at HP's Support website.
Yes, that means the H1900, H3600, H3700, H3800, H3900, and H5400 series are being left out since these are not current models. This will quite potentially upset owners of those iPAQ's, especially the one's looking forward to these enhancements provided by Microsoft. Even though the H193x and H194x are current models, they are being left out because of memory limitations on their ROM.

Until I see it on HPs website, it won't mean anything to me. If they can impart this information to third parties, you'd expect them to post it on their own site too. As yet, I haven't found it. _________________ Tim
