I have tried searching and cannot find anything.
I have an ETB digi dash that recommends signing up to pocketgpsworld and downloading the camera database in the .cam format to upload to the dash for camera warnings.
The thing is, i cannot find any that are in this format.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Must admit I've never heard of that format (and "POI Edit" - which can convert between all the usual formats - hasn't got it either).
Where did the info come from? I've found a website for Digidash and it certainly DOES mention using the PGPSW database, but I haven't found an on-line manual or any mention of that file format yet.
http://www.etbinstruments.com/DD2_lite.htm
EDIT: I found the manual - HERE and it's all there on page 2...
Hopefully one of the PGPSW team will have more info. |

I'm not familiar with that device but it certainly looks like we have been involved at some point, I'll ask MaFt if he knows of it! _________________ Darren Griffin |

yes,
apparently at the moment you need to download the CSV version and email it to them, they will convert it and send it back to you.
they are discussing between themselves whether they will give us a copy of the conversion software so we can release the .cam version at the same time as the rest of the database.

Hi, apologies for digging up an old post, but just wondered if anything had moved in since the last post?
I have emailed ETB with the latest CSV files, but just wondered if there was now a way to download the .cam file directly from pocketgpsworld?
Thanks in advance. |

Well, that was back in the day before we got very itchy about copyright and pirates or am I wrong? _________________ Dennis

Hi joolshutch,
Do you have an example of a .cam file?
If you do, take a copy of it and change the file type to .csv or .txt and see if you can read it using a text editor or MS Excel.
Remember to use a copy and not the original as there may be weird and unreadable characters that you might only spot if using a Hex editor.
