would like to go over to palm TT3 from pocketpc TT3

I have a TT3 bluetooth gps for pocketpc. I notice on the installation CD it asks if I want to install on palm or pocket pc.

Does anyone know if I buy a palm tungsten T3 if I could just install my TT3 on it, and use the existing bluetooth gps, or do I need to actually buy the palm package, as I understand it comes on an sd card?

You can't install the Pocket PC version on a Palm. There's a few odds and ends on the Pocket PC CD that are for Palm OS, but the actual Palm OS program is missing.

If you want the Palm version of Navigator, you'll have to buy it. However, you may find you lose features in moving to the Palm version - there's no POI warning software on the Palm (apparently it may be impossible to write such software for current versions of Palm OS, as you can't have two programs active at once), no support for POI files at the moment and TomTom Traffic has only been announced for the Pocket PC version.
