It'll be done when it's done. I've got a small box office smash in the pipeline that'll have to be sidelined so I can accommodate this miniscule sketch.

Wasn't meaning to rush you, mostdom. I was just a bit disappointed when I swallowed my pride and signed up to Facebook just to see what was going on in the pgpsw group, and found just five members (three of whom I recognised) and no activity.
I hope you won't forget to mention your friends here in your Oscar acceptance speech. _________________ Anita

Many apologies Laura and Robert! You might now surmise that I'm not a FaceBook user and didn't fully understand the information presented to me
I can also confirm that it isn't an official group. _________________ Robert Brady |

It was MikeB and he's got the film to prove it A quick explanation from Mike was all that was needed.
Personally I think he was guilty of wasting police time by making his car look suspicious. I would have clipped him round the ear and sent him on his way! _________________ Robert Brady |

No probs, Rob.
It may take off as an unofficial group now that it's been spotted, or it may not - depends how many Facebook users this forum has and how many people are willing to sign up just for the group, like Anita.
Regards,
Laura. _________________ TomTom 730

Can someone explain to me the point of sites such as Facebook? I don't get it? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Me neither, and I didn't think I would ever sign up, but I thought it might be worth seeing what goes on in the PGPSW group. _________________ Anita

I signed up months back purely because my Blackberry had a Facebook client, never understood it so de-activated my account.
I've now re-awoken it and joined the group, still no wiser though! _________________ Darren Griffin |

I can't see the point either, but zillions can. Perhaps they can't see the point of the PGPSW forums |

Aside from saying who you are and linking to people I was just wondering if there was something I'd missed, but fair point! _________________ Darren Griffin |

The point is... communication. Across the internet, continents and the world, may it be with friends, family, or even like-minded individuals. e.g. pgpsw.
It is more secure (eventually) than a forum and you can be selective about who you want to communicate with. You can share videos, pictures, games, and more. It is supposed to be all the best bits of community internet in one package.
For pgpsw to use it than anything more that an advertising platform would be pointless. I only joined face book because I hardly ever see my brother who is a heavy facebook user, and because I have family abroad. My brother has friends all over the place so I assume it's good for him to keep in touch.
Think of it as a much better version of friends-reunited.
If none of this strikes a cord then don't bother! _________________ Dom

For family well out of your reach as mostdom, the site is great as you can still communicate, for those of us not in that situation I can't see the point.
I have a friend who uses it to talk to his local family and friends, saves him having direct contact and leaving his flat - HOW SAD, is this the level communication has grown to.
What happened to the telephone, getting in the car on a day off and any other method to go and see the person in question?
Are we are all becoming a bunch of cyber nerds?
In answer to the original question, if you are a Facebook member it could be a worthwhile 'feed'. To those of us not using, or no intention to use Facebook - not a lot of use, as the site is only a benefit to the regular community user.
Pity you can't add to the above 'Poll' the question -
How many of the members on this forum use Facebook? _________________ TomTom Go 60

It turned into a texting machine so that you don't have to talk to people and so that people that you want to contact can easily ignore you. |

Ruddy typical! I took my camera to work today so I could get some footage of the way home. I only managed to get one fixed speed camera before the heavens opened and ruined everything. Can't get a decent shot through something that resembles a waterfall on the windscreen.
Better luck tomorrow maybe.
Does anyone have any footage driving past a mobile camera van or other?
I have a funny feeling I won't be passing an active one in the next few days, so just in case really. And I can't just use anything off you tube unless you own it. _________________ Dom
