When I try to navigate to a crossroad I have a problem, I enter the first street but when it comes to enter the 2nd street all it says is "one moment please...", when I try to navigate to a POI it works fine.

However, when I press the reset button I am able to navigate to a crossroad but cannot navigate to a POI as it keeps on saying "one moment please...", can anyone help me here.

Thanks in advance.

7,481 is well known for this issue the advice is to reset the device with a paperclip then imediatly perform a "Restore To Factory Defaults" from within the Change Preferences options.
You will loose any POI settings etc, the other option is to roll the device back to using version 7,221 - Mike

If you have a backup from when you were running 7,221 simply re-install that, otherwise you can download 7,221 from Oldboys web site Here
Make sure you fully backup your device BEFORE messing around with it - Mike

I have a similar issue with a 720 after installing 7.481 - in my case it is via navigate to address that I get the "one moment please" message (and a very long moment it is!). I have tried re-installing 7.221 but it didn't cure the problem. I don't want to lose my personal POIs/ favourites/ recent destinations. Is there any way to save these before doing a reset and then to reinstall them?

A reset shouldn't lose your settings, but "Restore To Factory Defaults" will.

When I used "Restore To Factory Defaults" it didn't lose the POIs.

It's rather laborious if you have a lot, but you can copy your Favourites to POIs by going to "Change Preferences", "Manage POIs", "Add POI Category" and creating a new category, then "Add POI", select the category, select "Favourite", then select your Favourites one by one.

To get them back to Favourites go to "Add Favourite" on the 2nd page of the main menu, select "Point of Interest", "POI near Home" or whatever, the category you created, and select the POIs one by one.

I believe you can also retain your Favourites by backing up the mapsettings.cfg file from the map folder before doing the "Restore To Factory Defaults" and copying it back afterwards - a simpler method but I haven't tried it.

Whatever you do, don't forget to back up the device using Windows before you start.

Thanks again Anita - I'm going to give this a go. How do I back up the device via windows? I have always used Home before but the last time I tried to restore it failed!

Well I've tried the above -it hasn't solved the problem I'm afraid. Looks like a roll-back to 7.221 is the next attempt. I did lose my favourites and recent destinations though, but not POIs

I've rolled my 720 back to 7.221 and everything is working just as it should be. Thanks Mikealder.

I've had the "one moment" problem Sad

Contacted TT and they said to ensure that the data logging option was unchecked and empty the ASR directory if there was anything in it. Nothing in mine so no and box already unchecked so no changes made.

I'd already rolled my 920T back to app 7.221 and it got back the search for street and POIs but I'd lost voice recognition.

TT Home still reported that I'd got app 7.481 installed so to make sure, I deleted any apps on the unit this via TT Home which then forced a fresh re-download from the server.

This seemed to do the trick and I've now got a working version of 7.481 with full street / POI search and also VR along with the niceties of the latest app, e.g. the blinking red border for overspeeds etc. My 720 maps downloaded OK and installed but Home still thinks I can "upgrade" to 715 maps - I'll have to watch out for that so it doesn't do it on the sly...

Andy
