Why not push them a bit and see what happens, a postal refund for a possible future order is pathetic - I wouldn't be going back to place future orders with a company that treats potential customers that way - Mike |

Pixmania have a shocking reputation when it comes to stock levels. Back in January my son placed an order for a TV with them based upon it being 'in stock'. Having paid his monies and not having heard anything he chased them up a few days later to be told the item was now out of stock and possibly up to 3 weeks delivery.
The following week the item appeared on the website as 'in stock' again so he rang them again asking when to expect a delivery only to be told the situation hadn't changed so he insisted they amend their site to reflect 'out of stock' which they did.
Would you believe the following week the whole process was repeated again at which point he cancelled his order and demanded his money back........ and that took the best part of a week
We wouldn't touch Pixmania with a bargepole, no matter what |

So it looks like the 200 mark is going to be as good as you going to get,I might get it now or see if it goes a bit lower |

Well 4 emails later (they didn't even reply to the last 2) & Pixmania won't honour the sale of the 720 at £139.
Then I get a promotional email from them advertising the thing at £189
If that's the way they treat customers then they can Foxtrot Oscar for me.
And I'll make sure I pass this on. _________________ HTC Desire S - Vodafone

I also have some experience of pixmania...
needless to say my experience, like many thousands of others, was not good and i have never bought anything from them again since. |

PentagonGPS in Sheffield were doing Brand New (Not Refurb) 720s last week @ £179.99 Inc VAT Price on site today is £209.99 so prices seem to be fluctuating everywhere ast the moment
(Pentagon actually said they expected them to be going up again next week)
Not sure if it has to do with no production of the *20s now as the *30 are taking up the production capacity that is just driving up prices of the now harder to source *20s till the *30s fill the gap. But things do seem to be getting more expensive rather than cheaper. |

How annoying this price rise is
I'm finally in the market to upgrade my TomTom Navigator 3 and had decided on the 720. Unfortunately, it has now gone up in price just when I need to get it.
I am hoping that with 730's coming on to the market the price of 720's will go back down within the next couple of weeks, which is my timeframe for purchase.
£160-£170 seems reasonable, but close on £200 just seems too much. |

If you or anyone you know is a member of the "Costco" warehouse
They currently have 720 packages at £179.99 (inc vat) in all thier stores, and as with all Costco sold items it comes with a "Limetime satisfaction Guarantee" so at ANY time in the future you can return it for a full no quible refund! even if you just feel it is no longer what you need after several years (as long as you are still a member) _________________ Current Device (Changes almost weekly)Navcore V8.002

I've just picked up a brand spanking new 720T for £180 delivered.
Currys (online) are advertising them at circa £200..but you have to enter a code for the discount..guess what??? the code wont register as they cannot offer home delivery..... _________________ Jaguar XF R Sport AWD
