Dear all, I have just purchased a TomTom Go 520 today which is fantastic. I am new to this game but something doesn't seem to be working on the device.
I am able to connect my phone and download my contacts to it. The handsfree works great. Unfortunately the Messaging side of things fails to work at all. All the menu options for messaging are "greyed out".
I was wondering if anyone could suggest a fix for this. My device is an HTC Touch Dual.
Many thanks in advance guys.

Gavin,
Have a look on the TomTom web site for a list of compatible phones.
Not all phones are supported for all of the features (mostly text options).
If I manage to find the link myself, I'll post it here for you.
Cheers

I have never managed to get any HTC based phone to work with the SMS text message options on a TomTom, there is nothing you can do about this.
If you want to use the data connection from your phone to work with the TomTom Plus services this can be fixed by installing the Bluetooth DUN profile to the phone - Mike |

Hi Gavin,
I've had a look at Tomtom's phone compatability listings (found http://www.tomtom.com/phones/compatibility/?intProduct=19 ) and your phone doesn't appear to be listed as one that is fully compatable with your 520.
With most of these devices you usually find that some but not all services are availible. _________________ Graeme Bennett
