Living in the relative outback of Suffolk lots of things pass us by. Imagine my surprise today to see a blue Ford Fiesta with "Navteq" emblazoned on it's side and sporting a large round antenna on the roof. It was heading south on the A137 between Ipswich and Manningtree presumably surveying for future updates. I wonder how long it will take before the new data is incorporated in the next map release?

18 months to 2 years probably going by some of the roads that have been in use for a couple of years but still missing from my tom tom map.

map updates must take some time to compile before release.

so don't hold your breath.....

Very Happy

18 months is realistic, but I doubt the mapping changes that vehicle has scanned will become part of a TomTom map considering they are in the process of purchasing Teleatlas, it simply doesn't make sense to purchace a mapping company and purchase data from the main competition. - Mike
