Wasn't able to find a recent related thread, but have just found descriptions of some field trials of the TomTom One XL HD Traffic on the Dutch language jouwnav.nl forums. I believe seven forum members there were sent a new HD Traffic unit to test over a few weeks in April.
Reviews seem to be a bit mixed, I believe the overall consensus is that the quality of information is slightly to somewhat better than TMC. One thing I did pick up on is the lack of complaints about ridiculous delay calculation (e.g. either 1 minute or many hours) so I guess that TomTom have this problem under control, at least for HD Traffic! |

From this post here it looks the delay info on RDS-TMC is correct in the Netherlands anyway.

Thanks very much for letting me know - may well be a crucial bit of information for me in trying to decide which manufacturer to go for. I was starting to wonder why the delay calculation problem wouldn't also be seen with HD Traffic, especially since most of the reviewers were using the same version of the software (v7) that seemed to be causing that issue in the UK, but it makes sense if the Netherlands never had that problem to begin with. |

The delay calculation doesn't seem to affect GPRS traffic in the UK, only RDS-TMC.
It is being 'worked on' according to TT support in their numerous replies to myself and others on here who have raised support calls about it.
