Not sure if this is the right place to post this to get it corrected, but I'll give it a go.
Anyone who downloads the 'consolidated by type' speed camera database for use on their Garmin, and who also uses CBRom's GPX convertor utility to customise the warning distances, will be getting a 'Type Mismatch' error during the conversion.
The problem lies in the pocketgps_uk_mobile file and specifically with the MOBILE:44917 camera. Unfortunately the speed associated with this camera is currently set at 53, which is what is causing the problem in CBRom's utility. I'm not sure what the correct speed should be, but I'm guessing it should probably be 50.
The short term solution is to modify the file yourself before trying to run it through the conversion software.
Long term I'm hoping a database mod will see this post and get the file corrected for future downloads.

It's an old problem and has been covered before. Please download the latest version of CBROMs program to fix the problem.
A search on the word "Mismatch" brings up this thread |

Blimey, that was quick.
Is the speed limit a genuine 53 MPH then - seems a bit strange if it is. |

Actually, maybe a bit too quick....

I assumed the 53 was a result of CBROMs progam, but you are correct it appears in the database as 53 mph.... |

Can you try the latest version of CBROMs program though? It's been nearly 2 weeks since release and you're the first to mention / spot the 53mph camera and the Mismatch Error.
I've PM'd the relevent Team Member re the 53mph camera, but need to know if the Type Mismatch is caused by the data or the bug in an old version of the program. |

Thanks for that MaFt.
Although I have downloaded the latest version of CBRoms program, I haven't tried using it with the uncorrected database file.
Thanks for confirming what the speed should be as I had amended it to 50. Will disappear now and correct it. |

i wonder if it was this camera causing the problem with cbrom's software then?! it only affected the mobile file and it DID start playing up around january which is when the camera was added...

Quite possibly. I only noticed the problem last month, and ended up not converting the mobile file but just loaded it up as a .csv file.
As the problem persisted with the latest download, I thought I'd go through the file to see where the problem was. Took a little while to wade through 6000 odd lines of data, but I got there in the end. |

i looked through the file but only at the coordinates as sometimes dodgy coords can cause problems! never thought to look at speed!!
