I click 'Download Database' button and immediately get a page with a link back to the camera index. Searching my d/l folder (and, in desperation, every folder on my local drive for *any* file dated after last week sometime) tells me that nothing happened, as does a process monitor application I use.
*PLEASE* don't tell me to check my browser settings, folder permissions, whatever. I am an IT professional of too long a standing, d/l stuff all day long and am local admin on the workstation in use. I *know* what I'm doing but am frustrated at this blockage. What's especially frustrating is that I've d/l it before, when I first set up my PDA with TomTom. |

Can you tell us what choices you made? |

Sure can...
'SatNav System' - chose 'TomTom OV2'
When 'TomTom OV2' drop-down is displayed, tried 'UK - Single file with all cameras'. When that failed, tried all items, with same result - nothing d/l.
Thanks for the lightning response, BTW!
PS.
Browser is FireFox but using IE results in the same - no d/l

- Browser is FireFox (but same result with IE)
- Connection is via a corporate network at client who is, in effect, an ISP)
- No local security s/w, except A/V. Site is firewalled but, as stated, d/l from other sites are fine.
I think I'll probably wait 'til I get home and try there, too. |

Hang on... before getting carried away with mis-settings etc, are you sure it's not just the usual problems with Paypal?
Either (occasionally) they have simply not passed on the info to PGPSW so your subscription has not gone through...
or (much more frequently) there is a problem with the credit card details they have on file for you (like you got a new card) and so they have used "echecque" which has to go through the banking system (several WORKING days) before PGPSW see the money.
There are DOZENS of posts about this issue on the forum.
Usually one of the team will ask you to check your Paypal receipt and if there is no mention of echeques to send your payment reference to PGPSW at a particular email address. Check some of the other sticky topics, it's there somewhere. |

I don't *think* it's that, since I no longer have a c/c as my primary funding source ofr PP. And IIRC, the PP email for eCheques is worded slightly differently to those where payment was direct.
Before anyone panics, I'll try on my home machine and report back. |

what firewall do you use?
zonealarm pro requires you to 'allow private headers' for the site. could it be something similar to this?

I'll see what happens this evening when I try at home. |

Just to add that your subscription is activated so that is not the issue. I appreciate you don't want to be told the obvious but as its working for us here and for others the issue is likely to be your end.
I'd hazard a guess that either your corporate firewall or perhaps a web proxy on your network is causing the issues here. Let us know if you succeed when you try from home? _________________ Darren Griffin |
