Can you see the Card as a new Drive in Windows Explorer?
Are you using a Card Reader?
These answers, and any more on how you are going about it, will help to get you up and running. _________________ Richard

Any one know what an "MLC" SD card actually is?
I Googled it and found a picture of one with "MLC" on the label:
so it's not a misprint for "MMC", but I can't find any details about "MLC" on Wikipaedia etc.
I know that the 300 cannot use any of the other "exotic flavours" of SD card - the MMC or the SDHC), so maybe this IS another type that the old card slot/software can't cope with.
Unless someone comes back with more info, a "plain vanilla" SD card might be a better bet. |

The reference to slow speed could be relevant. _________________ Richard

What ever you do don't buy an MLC card to download a map It has been downloading TT's Western Europe map for 1 Hr 44Mins and it's now installing it seems like a week. (OH just for the record I bought this card from memoryBits of Jersey on Ebay) still we learn by our mistakes |

The SD Card is not involved with the download of the Maps. The time taken is usually a function of the TT Servers.
The Card then comes into use when the Installation proper bergins. _________________ Richard

Have to say, Earthmover, 1Hr 44mins to download a Western Europe Map is pretty FAST by TT's standards!
I've seen 4-5 hours plus, on several map downloads.
But as Oldboy says, you might well have problems with the actual operating speed of this MLC card when you come to use it in the Go. |

Just been onto MemoryBits on their live chat and explained what happens she said it wasn't the card. and did I mean MMC. I said no watch the letters M.....L.....C
and for some reason she just shut down. good job you can print it out.
The actual installation took about 28 mins. I'm going to test this card up the A1M if it says take the next left Nr Peterboro and I'm in Dover I'll understand what forward planning means! |
