I thought I was definetly the first to submit a new camera. I did the submission on the map & given all the camera details. Two/three days later the camera appeared on the database with the coordinates that I had submitted. One day later the submission changed from "gatso 50251" (which I submitted) to "monitron 50251". The new database release included this new camera. Did I not get lifetime membership due to an error in camera type, we are not all experts on camera type you know! |

Although I can't comment on your submission being the first or not, for future reference there are some nice photos of the different types of camera if you scroll down the submissions page or click the link immediately below the camera type entry box |

I've looked at the submission history for 50251 and you were not the first to report it. It was first reported 18th March by another user who will be receiving a lifetime sub now that it has been verified. _________________ Darren Griffin |

You might try 'searching' next time Our subscription system will not allow us to configure a subscription of greater length hence the odd definition of 'lifetime'.
If you wish your forum rank changed to 'Lifetime Member' let me knwo and I can effect that for you? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I'm not worth anything, so nobody's hoping to get any inheritance _________________ Andy

I believe they are, which is why my European camera database is on an SD card for removal just before I get to the Swiss border! |

That's not much of an option for me. I don't know what satnav you're using, but on mine, the cameras have to reside in the map folder - no cameras, no map folder, no map reading! _________________ Dennis

You could always use a copy of the main map on an SD card containing the Speed Camera files and associated warnings, when you remove the card the device would revert back to using the map on the inbuilt flash memory with no Speed Camera files, there is a little messing around re-naming some files to avoid having the same map name, but it is certainly possible to do - Mike |

I do remember someone saying that they didn't even bother to check at the border even though he also removed the card with the speed cams beforehand. _________________ Dom

Just like to say thanks to all in the "speed cam dept" I reported a red light cam down here in NZ & have just had my subscription updated.
(Less than two weeks I think) So, either a member of the team was in NZ or it must have been a good excuse for the flight!
Regards to you all.
