You will have to tell us more - like when or where is it going wrong?
Enter what you have done so far, and will probably be able to help...! |

Do you mean right click to Extract the files from the zip file?
Are these the instructions you are following? |

I would recommend you download the separated files .csv format
Now from your NavDesk software click on POIs, then Add Custom
Point to the extracted files on your computer (where-ever you downloaded them to, and then extracted)
Start with Mobile 30 for example, assigning each a different icon (for visual reference) and voice instruction (also downloadable from this website FOC), so you know whats coming without looking
Repeat this process for as many of the camera types you wish to add
Dont add them all or your Navman wont function
I would recommend the MOBILE cameras only, otherwise you are in for problems. In any case the Navman included database already includes comprehensive data for fixed cameras, so you won't be at a loss not including these really (it falls down on mobile data)
Hope this works for you |

Thats what they promised, but not what happened
While it isn't a real problem for me, or perhaps many users it is for anyone wishing to use the PGSPW database, for example
They are about to release 2nd Edition of the SmartSt Software 2008 (note: note Service Pack 2, but a new version)
As one of the highlight features (indeed, for once Navman is first to market in the UK with this) is connected POIs via your bluetooth enabled mobile. A useful feature - but not if they haven't fixed the issue of POIs slowing down the system so badly. It would make a nonsense of the main product feature if it is indeed not fixed
Its out now on Mio and will be on the Navman (with updates for current S Series made avaiable) in May / June 08 |
