After problems with my Nuvi 360T and re-installing maps and software, I now get continuous warning when approaching a camera on the database whereas I only used to get continuous warning if I was over speed. How can I get back to excess speed warning only.
Thanks

Have you disabled the Garmin cameras?
Can you try reloading the PGPSW database again and see if that fixes the problem? Is it possible you have loaded the database with KPH set in POILoader and not MPH? This would result in alerts at lower speeds than you'd expect. |

Sorry to say none of the ideas solved the problem.
I checked the POI Loader and it was on Feet & mph
I re-loaded the Camera Database by overwriting as it hasn't changed since my previos download
The Garmin Cameras are not ticked
Any other ideas please?

Which database are you using and do you rename it or put it into an folders?
If you approach a camera what does it say one the screen? Can you give an exact example? |

Under SatNav system, I select "Garmin POI Loader", then "UK Speed Zoned Complete" which I unzip, select all and extract to a folder which is named "Garmin POI" on my external drive (this folder also contains other POIs and previous downloaded cameras which I presume get updated) Then I use POI Loader to transfer the revised folder to the 360T selecting the update button, not the full download.
Hope this makes sense.
When approaching a camera, I get in red
Alert: MOBILE:6416#30
Thanks

In theory yes, would be good if you could make sure though.

Where are these buttons? Explain exactly when you see them.
Why do you get #30 and not @30? Do / have you used Ash10's Camera Updater before? If so could you have left old files generated by CM in the POI Folder? |

Thanks for all your help
I see a new date on the files from the zip so presume new
The update button is on the second screen of the POI Loader. There are 2 buttons, one reads "Install new Custom POIs", the other "Remove all previous etc" I use the first
Yes, I have used Ash10's Camera Update in the past. Is it still running and causing this problem? How do I get rid of it? It does not show in my tool bar anymore

As you have a warning that states "#30" and not "@30" i guess you have some files left over from when you used CM. If CM is not in the tray it's not running.
Personally i would do the following.
Copy the contents of your POILoader folder to another folder.
Copy back to the POILoader folder any NON-Speed Camera related POIs. Do NOT copy any Speed Camera files.
Then re-download the database and copy these files into the POILoader folder. Do not attempt to reuse or overwrite any old Speed Camera files. Do not be concerned if you have less Speed Camera files than you used to.
Now upload the lot to your Sat Nav using the Update option (i never noticed it says update!)
Test it...
If i am right you have generated a bunch of files in the past with CM and you have left them in the folder assuming they'll be overwritten by the new database. These are probably giving the strange alerts. |

Done as you suggested and now when doing a simulated journey get in red at the top of the screen "30mph Speed Alert Ahead," which I presume is OK Of course this does not simulate overspeed
I have a proper journey to make on Saturday and will report back after that
Many thanks

That sounds more like it.
If you want find a local camera in the database and change the name to GATSO:12345@10 instead of GATSO:12345@40.
Save the file and upload to your Sat Nav. Then run the demo. That'll simulate an overspeed. Then correct the file and re-upload. |
