When you connect the TomTom to the computer, it should show up as a hard drive in Windows Explorer. Copy all of the files across to a folder on your hard drive for safe keeping.
Install the 'Home' program on to your PC from the cd that came with your unit.
TomTom customer service seems to suggest something like this: delete all of the files from the TomTom that are NOT inside folders. Do NOT delete any of the folders.
Now start up 'Home'. It should recognize your TomTom and will download and install a new operating system. |
